84 Kosi Parikrama

There are eighty-four mythological places associated with Lord Rama on the Kosi Parikrama route. The Parikrama Yatra starts from Makhauda Dham in Basti district, located 20 km north of Ayodhya. The journey concludes by visiting 21 stops falling in five districts, the names of these districts are Basti, Ambedkar Nagar, Barabanki, Gonda and Ayodhya. Chaurasi Kosi Parikrama is the circumambulation of Koshaldesh, which touches all the important places associated with Ram Rajya. This Chaurasi Kosi Parikrama Marg is spread over 275.35 km in five districts including Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Barabanki, Basti and Gonda districts. King Dashrath's Ayodhya was spread over eighty-four kos. The first stop for pilgrims on the parikrama is at the Ramrekha temple in Basti; The next two stops are at Hanumanbagh in Duboulia block of Basti and Shringa Rishi Ashram in Ayodhya. The parikrama route passes through more than 100 villages in five districts: Basti, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Barabanki and Gonda.
