Chaman Muni Ashram
The ashram of sage Chyavan, who worked for public welfare through his penance in the past, is situated near Raja Ka Purva village of Keenhupur on the south Tamsa bank from Deodhi Bazaar of Ayodhya district. Another ashram of Rishi Chyavan is in Soharpur village in Gonda district. Chamdai (Chamni) river originates from there. The medicine called Chyawanprash, which gives youth, is famous in the name of this sage. Even today the Chyavan Rishi Ashram complex can be felt as extremely picturesque, attractive and energetic.
