Bamdev Ashram is in Kumarganj in Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh. This ashram is considered to be the penance place of Maharishi Bamdev. Some special things about this ashram: There is a big and old Shivalinga in this ashram. A large number of Shiva devotees come to this ashram every Monday. It is believed that Lord Ram also came here to study and took education. Maharishi Bamdev's quotation is found in many Puranas including Shiv Purana. Bawan Gram Panchayat was formed from this ashram, which is today known as Nagar Panchayat Kumarganj.
