Chhoti Devkali
The idol of Maa Parvati established by Mata Sita in Shri Ayodhya ji, which is today famous by the name of Maa Devkali, all the wishes are fulfilled by worshiping at this place. In the holy city of Lord Shri Ram, Shri Ayodhya, the city goddess Sarvamangala Parvati resides in the form of Mother Gauri in the Chhoti Devkali temple. In Shri Devkali temple, this Shaktipeeth is worshiped with special faith and reverence as the family deity of Mother Sita. Shri Ram's city Ayodhya is prominent among the best pilgrimage places in the world. It is believed at the Shri Devkali temple site that when Mother Sita ji had come from Janakpuri to her in-laws' house Shri Ayodhya ji, she had brought the idol of her family goddess Mata Parvati with her. Maharaj Shri Dashrath ji had built the temple of Shri Parvati Mata ji on the north-eastern corner of Saptsagar located in Shri Ayodhya, where Mata Sita and other queens of the royal family used to go for worship. Today, this Ramayana temple has become a major religious place in India due to its grandeur and superiority.
