Janki Mahal
Although in Ayodhya, Shri Ram is worshiped in the form of a child, but there is also a place where he is worshiped as a son-in-law. This place is Janaki Mahal Temple. Just like in the in-laws' house, one laughs and jokes with the son-in-law, reprimands are given and there is a lot of hospitality, the same tradition exists here too. During the daily Bhog ceremony at Janaki Mahal temple, taunting songs are sung with laughter and abuses are also sung in the form of songs. Janaki Mahal is situated on the banks of Saryu River in Ayodhya. This palace was constructed in the 19th century. The palace is constructed of red stone and looks very beautiful. A huge statue of Mother Sita and Lord Ram is installed in the palace and the statue is made of marble. There is also a garden in the palace complex, which is very beautiful. It is believed that the marriage of Lord Ram and Mother Sita took place in the month of Pausha according to the Hindu calendar, hence every year many grand programs are organized in Janaki Mahal in the month of Pausha. A large number of devotees from all over the country and abroad come and have darshan to see these programs. Janaki Mahal temple located in Ayodhya is related to the royal family of Nepal. The land of this temple was purchased by Mohan Lal Kejriwal in the year 1942. After purchasing the land, it was transformed into the ancestral home of Goddess Janaki in Ayodhya. It is believed that Mata Janaki was born in Mithila, which is currently present in Nepal. For this reason, here Lord Ram is served day and night as a son-in-law.
