Shri Hanuman Garhi Mandir
The most prominent Hanuman temple here is famous by the name of Hanumangarhi. This temple is situated on a high mound in front of the royal gate. It is said that Hanuman ji lived in a cave here and protected Ram Janmabhoomi and Ramkot. Hanuman ji was given this place to live. Lord Shri Ram had given the right to Hanuman ji that any devotee who comes to Ayodhya for my darshan will have to worship you first. Even today, Sankatmochan's birthday is celebrated at midnight on Chhoti Diwali. In the holy city of Ayodhya, people have to take permission from Lord Hanuman before washing their sins in the Saryu river. Since this temple is situated on a mound in Ayodhya, one has to climb about 76 stairs to reach the temple. After this, the 6-inch statue of Pawanputra Hanuman is seen which is always decorated with flower garlands. The main temple has the statue of Anjani Mata with Bal Hanuman. Devotees believe that by visiting this temple all their wishes are fulfilled. Maa Anjani in the temple premises is the idol of child Hanuman in which Hanuman ji is sitting as a child in the lap of his mother Anjani. There is no clear evidence of the construction of this Hanuman temple but it is said that Ayodhya has been inhabited many times and Desolate but still one place which has always remained in its original form is Hanuman Tila, which is today famous as Hanumangarhi. The symbols brought from Lanka as symbols of victory were also kept in this temple, which are still taken out on special occasions and worshiped at various places.
